President’s Message
“I am honoured to represent the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 288 Airdrie as President. Our mission is to serve Veterans, including serving military and RCMP members and their families, to promote Remembrance, and to serve our communities and our country.
Branch 288 has been fortunate to welcome new members throughout 2021, resulting in a 20% increase in active membership. It is my personal goal to continue to promote membership through programs and events.
Through the support of many volunteers resulting in a very successful Poppy and Remembrance Day campaign, we are able to support veterans in need, as well as provide funding to our local cadets corps. We are reminded that the scope of the Poppy Campaign goes well beyond the first two weeks in November. Consider volunteering for this or any of the Legion activities.
If you are unfamiliar with all that the Airdrie Legion has to offer, we invite you to visit the Branch to learn more about our membership programs and benefits.
Please reach out to myself or any of your Executive Committee members if you have any suggestions or questions on ways to engage our members and the community.
I look forward to serving you.”
- Keith Shaw, President
